CA Program Eligibility:
Start Page > Select Student > Compliance > Program Eligibility
Enter the student’s Exit Date (the day after the student’s last day in class, even if it is Saturday or holiday) for each program they were enrolled in at your school this school year.
Transfer Out:
Start Page > Select Student > School Enrollment > Transfer Out of School
Complete the following fields:
Transfer Comment: Enter where student is going or why they are dropping, all pertinent information.
Date of Transfer: Exit date (the day after the student’s last day even if it is a Saturday or holiday)
Exit Code: Select the appropriate code, or call SIS Team at Tech Services, if you are uncertain what to use.
Special Programs: Check each box to exit students from the Special Programs listed for your school. (If you forget to exit the student from Special Programs, you can go to Start Page > Student Selection > Courses and Programs > Student Programs and enter the exit date.)
"Check here is student intends to enroll in school during next school year" box: Only check mar this box if the student is leaving just before the end of the current school year and will return to THIS SCHOOL next school year. (Example: If a student leaves school a few days early for vacation and plans to return to THIS school next school year.)
Expected Receiver School of Attendance:
Start Page > Select Student > School Enrollment > Enrollment History > Click on the Current Enrollment Entry Date
In the Expected Receiver School of Attendance box, enter the 7 digit school number of the school the student will be attending if the next school is an alternative school (such as Sequoia, VCIS, any Independent Student program or Alternative school. Alternative schools are Juvenile Court, County Community, Community Day School, Continuation or Opportunity Schools.
Changing Schedule Exit Dates, if needed:
Start Page > Select Student > Courses and Programs > Current Year Enrollments
If you have to change the Exit Date for a student enrollment after you've already done the Transfer Out process, be sure to change the Exit Dates on the appropriate classes in the Current Year Enrollments to match. This will ensure that you do not get any reporting errors.
Remove your school from the Next School field by selecting the Blank option. Blanking out this option will ensure the student does not show on any scheduling reports.
Uncheck "Schedule This Student" if it is check marked.
If the student is transferring to another VUSD School:
Start Page > Select Student > School Enrollment > Transfer To Another School
Note: Only perform this step if another VUSD school site has requested the student be transferred to them, or if you have contacted the other VUSD school site and let them know the student is coming to them. Transferring a student to another VUSD school site without their knowledge of the student, could result in the student getting lost and not scheduled.
Note: Transferring the student to another VUSD school needs to be done the same day the school site is ready to re-enroll the student. If not, the student will automatically be rolled back into their original school site and the process will have be performed again, so please be sure the receiving site is ready!
