Parents/Guardians/Community Members may reach out requesting that their phone number be removed from the SchoolMessenger system. This can happen for a few different reasons, including:
If you receive a request from a parent or community member requesting that their number be removed from the SchoolMessenger system, follow the steps below:
IMPORTANT TO KNOW: When removing a phone number, the change will take effect OVERNIGHT - meaning any communications that go out the day you remove the number will still go to that number until the overnight update occurs.
1. Set your search to "Contacts"

2. Set the search to "Phone Number"

3. Type in the phone number they would like removed. symbols such as "()" around area code, or "-" are not necessary, and hit "Enter" to search.
NOTE: Some phone numbers may be associated with MULTIPLE contacts - especially if it's a business phone number. The number must be removed from ALL contacts to be truly "gone" from the system.

4. Select the "Contact" that has the phone number that needs removing, and scroll down to the "Phone Numbers" section. Click on the "-" button on the right-hand side of the phone number to delete it.

5. Click on "Delete" to confirm the deletion of the phone number.

NOTE: There is no need to "save/submit" the contact page after deleting a phone number. Hitting the "Delete" to confirm the removal of the number saves the changes.
