Each student enrolled in the Newcomer Academy provided by a VUSD site will need specific program record attached to their profile. This record is essential for state reporting. The process of adding this record should be made part of your enrollment process when enrolling any student into your sites Newcomer Academy.

Note: These program records are not to be confused with student EL status (EO, EL, TBD). This information pertains to Program records ONLY.

• All Students enrolled in the Newcomer Academy need to have the follow record added:

• 303 LIP - Newcomer Program
  • Make a student selection
  • Click on Compliance
  • Under Programs, select ELA Status/Program History

• Under Student Table Values, click New

• Select the following options:
  • Your school site name
  • Education Program Code: (303) LIP - Newcomer Program (Various Models)
  • Education Program Membership Code: (1) Eligible
  • Education Program Membership Start Date: This date must match the students school entry date in their Enrollment History
