Running the Validate Student Boundary Membership report through PowerSchool will help you confirm which students reside within your school boundary and which students do not. This validation can be ran for a selection of students and put into a list using the List Builder function.
- From the PowerSchool Start page, make a student selection. For this example, grade "6" has been selected.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the Drop Down arrow to access the Actions menu.
- Under Data Management, select Validate Student Boundary Membership.
- Set your report options as desired.
- To see students who live OUTSIDE of your school boundary, set the value for "Select student who are" to Outside the selected boundary.
- To see student who live WITHIN a certain school boundary, set the value for "Select students who are" to Within the selected boundary.
- Click Submit.
- Click View Current Selection to see student result.
- From the Functions menu, select List Builder.
- Add report title, drag orange fields down with the blue fields as needed, or drag blue fields back up to the orange fields if not needed to get desired list information. Select Build List.
- Once the list is built, you have the option to Export or PDF. Exporting the list will put it into an Excel version and PDF will put it into a PDF file.
